Have you heard of Beautycounter?

Beautycounter is a beauty brand that designs safe, nontoxic cosmetics and skincare.  Their mission is to get safe, effective, yet chic products into the hands of everyone.

I was definitely taken by their NEVER List. This actually a list of over 1500 ingredients that they promise they will never use!  Love a brand that is this conscious about what they are putting in the product and in turn on their consumer's skin! 

Mandy, a Director at Beautycounter, was kind enough to send me some product samples to try out for my readers. Here is my review of the products! I tried 5 in total.

Lip Conditioner Calendula Balm $20

Claims: Contains avocado oil, shea butter, meadowfoam seed oil, and jojoba oil to nourish and soften lips.  Also, contains the inflammatory agents from calendula and chamomile oils help to heal chapped lips.

I have to say that I loved that lip conditioner to death! It had an amazing yet light fragrance and was extra nourishing.  This balm is perfect to put on while you apply your face makeup or overnight to ensure your lips are soft and supple for perfect application of your favorite lippie everytime!

Countertime Vibrant Eye Perfector with Marine Extracts $58

Claims: Contains wild algae and caffeine to soothe, reduce puffiness, diminish fine lines and dark circles.

This little eye cream was very lightweight and wasn't greasy, perfect for the delicate skin under our eyes. I didn't use the product long enough to see any reduced puffiness or diminishing of fine lines/dark circles, however, I can report that I really noticed that my undereye area was more bright, giving me that awake look. I would definitely recommend this for dry and/or mature skin.

Anytime Eye Cream, 0.45fl oz $35

Claims: The ingredients are rich in aloe and organic coconut oil that claim to soothe the delicate skin around the eyes.

This is a very light-weight eye cream that really soothes the skin in the undereye area. I enjoyed application of this product. I would definitely recommend this for dry and/or mature skin.

Lustro Face Oil 2 Jasmine, 0.67fl oz $68

Claims: Contains jasmine oil to help improve elasticity of  dry or mature skin.

Lustro Face Oil 3 Ylang Ylang & Wild Chamomile, 0.67fl oz $68

Claims: Contains ylang ylang and wild chamomile that help to return the balance into combination skin.

Application(for both oils):  Apply 3-4 drops of oil by pressing into skin with fingertips to use in place of moisturizer.  This product can also be added to a favorite moisturizer for more intense hydration.

I have to put it out there before I start reviewing the oils, that I have a very oily t-zone and usually stay away from products that have oils in them. Unfortunately for me, these did not help in that area. I will report that I think these products would be great for someone who has dry, combo, or mature skin. Both oils had a very nice scent and would be a great addition to give some intense hydration to the skin.

Overall, I have to say that I was very impressed with the products I tried. I love the company's mission, the NEVER list, and that each product had very high quality ingredients. The packaging was very well thought out and chic, just as the company has indicated.
