Since I have posted quite a few pics of products on my social media accounts this year I have decided to start a new series. This s the first of my Monday Mini Reviews where I will discuss my opinions of products that I have pictured on my Instagram.
Before I begin, I have some hyper-pigmentation on my chin and have an oily t-zone. I often have to powder throughout the day.
m website): "Light, refreshing and ultra-hydrating blend of 100% pure Argan Oil and 100% pure Organic Coconut Water provides priming, hydrating & brightening all-in-one."
Let me preface this by saying I love this brand, however, this product did not work for my skin type. I would recommend oily skin ladies steer clear from this primer, but I definitely would recommend this for those with dry skin because of the hydrating properties in the formula. It feels great on the skin, my makeup went on smooth, however, there was a very strong scent.
Here are my results from wearing this primer. Unfortunately, the combination of oils in the formula and the the natural oils in my skin literally ate my makeup. I noticed this began after 2 hours of wear and it got worse as the day progressed. You can see by the end of the day it had oxidized and became an oil slick. No bueno! Sorry Physicians Formula!
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer, $14.95
Claims (from website): "Ultra-luxurious bronzer, infused with Murumuru Butter, delivers a radiant Brazilian goddess glow."
This like all other bronzers I have used by this brand was a WINNER! It has a very smooth, has a creamy texture, great pigmentation for any skin tone, awesome staying power, smells amazing, and gives a perfect, soft-natural, sunkissed glow. This quickly became my everyday bronzer! Definitely happy with this purchase.
Milani Prime Shield Face Mattifying+Pore Minimizing Face Primer, $9.99
Claims (from webite): "Face Primer softens the appearance of fine lines, large pores and flaws and creates a smooth canvas for makeup application. This translucent primer blends invisibly onto the skin, resulting in a beautiful matte finish."
Milani is another brand I love. I saw some amazing reviews about this product, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I didn't see any longevity with my makeup with this product. I noticed after only 4 hours that my oils were not kept at bay and my makeup oxidized over time. For me, this was a no-go.
