Elf on the Shelf Ideas

𝕀𝕥'𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕖 ℍ𝕠𝕝𝕚𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕊𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕠𝕟!⁣

If you've been following me for a while you know we have an elf, JP! Last year was the 1st that I've added a thoughful note and an activity to keep it interactive. That being said, if you have an elf at home here are some tips for the other busy parents out there!⁣

⁣#1: Pinterest is a great place to get ideas! I honestly get most of my ideas there. Check out my Elf Idea Board to grab the free printables (my son lo Ed the superhero costumes I used last year) and get some other inspo.

#2: Grab a digital activity kit from Creative Change that you can print at home. This kit comes with a calendar showing the daily activities to help you stay organized. I grabbed one this year to add to my aresenal and I'm so excited to use it.

#3: Pre-make notesheets on the computer to write messages. I actually Googled holiday borders to make mine and have them ready to write encouraging notes for my son.

#4: Encouragement - we use JP to encourage our son's behavior, to have him do a good deed, and also to deepen his faith. I know this isn't for everyone, but this year I am adding coloring pages of scripture.

#5: Keep it simple and incorporate what you already have at home - I love using my son's action figures, puzzles and other toys to make it fun. ⁣⁣He totally looks forward to seeing what crazy thing JP is doing each day.

What are you plans with your elf? Drop them in a comment below. I’m always looking for new and fresh ideas!

Stay tuned for more ideas from this season!
