Directions to Cook Chicken
- Lightly coat the bottom of pot with oil and add uncook chicken breasts in the bottom.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, water, vinegar, honey, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger with a whisk. Pour sauce over chicken and seal the lid.
- Select "Pressure Cook" Setting to cook on HIGH (manual) pressure for 8 minutes of thawed or 12mins if frozen).
- Turn off unit and let pressure naturally release for 10 minutes. Release the remaining pressure and open the lid.
- Transfer chicken to cutting board. Cut into pieces or shred as desired. Set aside.
Preparing the Sauce
- Turn on unit and select the "Sautee" setting.
- In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and water mixture with a whisk.
- Once the sauce begins to simmer, stir in cornstarch to combine.
- Allow sauce to thicken for 1-2 mins and turn off unit.
Combining with Sauce
- Add chicken and vegetables (if desired) to the pot.
- Stir to cover with sauce. Serve over rice or noodles. Enjoy!
Notes
- Substitute white vinegar with rice vinegar
- Serve chicken with sauce alone
- Optional: sprinkle with green onion, sesame seeds, or add cooked vegetables
